What to Expect

We are a working family farm — not a roadside attraction. Visits are casual, dirt-on-your-boots affairs.

How long does a visit usually take?: About an hour, though we have been known to talk cattle for longer than that. We will walk the pasture together and you can meet whichever animals you are interested in.
What should I wear?: Boots or closed-toe shoes. The pasture is the pasture — bring something you do not mind getting a little muddy.
Are kids welcome?: Absolutely. The cattle we have selected for the herd are calm enough that kids can be around them safely. Just keep an eye on little ones near fences.
Do you have to be a buyer to visit?: Nope. We love showing the herd to anyone who is curious about Longhorns, whether you are buying, learning, or just looking.
When is the best time of year?: Spring is calving season and there is always something new on the ground. Fall is when the colors come in nicely and freezer-beef ordering is open. Anytime works — call and we will pick a day.
